Steelpoort- Justice Molapo(37) was driving with his friend and the next thing he knew he was rushed to hospital with blood all over his body.
He said few months ago he received some messeges that says he must back off or his family are in danger but he ignored the threats and he didn’t bother to report matter to the police. Until more than 20 armed men who were driving quantum and van stop him with his friend at Steelpoort main road outside Burgersfort in Limpopo on Thursday.
Molapo claim that he was attacked by the members of the Steelpoort community forum (task team) because he is against the corrup- tion that the other member are doing. Now he becomes a problem to them and they threaten to kill him. “I felt down and the man repeatedly hit me when i am down with the steel rake and other one stub me in the hand with the bottle of beer”.
“They have beaten me and left me in the pool of blood to die. They threaten to kill me and my family. I live in fear because they are walking on the streets are not yet arrested. I will not find peace of mind until i see them being arrested for what they have done to me” he said.

He added that the quarrel is about that he refuse when task team want to sell the mine jobs for the commu- nity members. “I am part of the task team and i don’t agree with selling of jobs, so i am standing on their way that’s why they want to kill me. When they left me they thought I am dead”.
Molapo’s friend Mashilo Makua (35) said “It was scary, I am still shocked by the way they have beaten him. No one deserve what they did to my friend and i am not angry at them i just want police to do their job and see them behind bars”.
The chairperson of task team Thabo Mohlala said that they know Molapo but they don’t know anything about the assaults and this is all false accusations “Maybe Justice has personal issues, We are very humble to the people and we serve with dedications, As a task team we are moving forward very well and we will not stop”.
Burgersfort police spokeswoman Constable Maluleke Victoria said the case of assaults intent to bodily harm has been opened at Burgers- fort police station for investigation and no arrest has been made.
