Executive Mayor encourages matriculants to attain quality results

Stan Ramaila, Sekhukhune District Municipality Executive Mayor, has called on matriculants to produce quality matric results for 2017 academic year.

SEKHUKHUNE – Stan Ramaila, Sekhukhune District Municipality Executive Mayor, has called on grade 12 learners in the district to produce quality matric results for the 2017 academic year.

Ramaila said with interventions done this year in the education sector, the district ought to produce better positive matric results.

The Executive Mayor further noted that for the past couple of years, the district had been in the bottom two in terms of overall performances within Limpopo Province.

“We take this opportunity to wish all the matriculants across the district, whom will be sitting for their final examinations, all the best and they must continue working hard like they did throughout the academic year,” said Ramaila.

The Executive Mayor conveyed a message for the learners that they were all in their thoughts and prayers every step of the way.

“Don’t stop now, give it your last push and make us and yourselves proud,” encouraged Ramaila.

Ramaila reiterated that the Office of the Executive Mayor has made provision for bursaries to deserving learners in the field of finance, agriculture, engineering and water studies.

The Executive Mayor further expressed gratitude to various stakeholders – teachers, parents, Non-Governmental Organizations that devoted their energy and time and continuously worked hard in preparing learners for the coming examinations.
