GA-MOTODI – For the second year running, Priscilla Makgata (21) managed to successfully organise the Miss Ga-Motodi pageant. This year, the face of Motodi was held at the village’s community hall on December 9.
Ricky Mamaila was crowned Miss Ga-Motodi 2018, and will reign from now until December 16, 2018.
Mamaila beat stiff competition for the crown. She promised to be a good ambassador for the village.
Kamogelo Chilwane and Wendy Vilakazi were crowned first and second princesses respectively.
Makgata confessed that it was a challenge hosting the event. “I visited every house in the village to plead for sponsors. Although some of them pulled out at the eleventh hour, we still proved victorious in the end as we organised one of the best events in Ga-Motodi,” she said.
She added that hosting these beauty pageants each year helps keep her engaged. “This also helps the kids realise their talents.”
